How to get to Dowdstown House

Dowdstown House is located on the grounds of Dalgan Park, just outside Navan, County Meath. We are on the N3 route from Dublin to Cavan, 6 miles from Dunshaughlin. Tara na Ri pub is our local Landmark. Our main gate is located approx. 1/4 km from this pub on the left hand side of the road.

Travelling By Coach:
Bus Eireann operates frequent Expressway and regular services from Busaras in Dublin to Navan/Kells/Cavan. The regular Bus Eireann service will stop, on request, at our main gate which is the gate of Dalgan Park. The Expressway service stops only in Navan. One can avail of a taxi service from there to our door.

Travelling By Road:
From Dublin Airport: On exiting the airport, at the roundabout take the N1 South towards Dublin City. Exit left onto the M50. While on the M50 exit onto the N3 route to Navan. See Map Below

From Dublin Ferryport: (Stena Sealink and Irish Ferries from Hollyhead) Turn right on exiting the ferryport gates and follow signs to N3 (Navan). See Map Below.

From Dun Laoghaire: (Stena Sealink from Hollyhead, Wales) The city of Dublin lies between the Boyne valley and Dun Laoghaire. Travel through Dublin and pick up the N3 or alternatively the M50 ring road to the N3. If at all possible, plan your journey through Dublin or on the M50 for off-peak hours to avoid traffic congestion.

From Larne: (Stena Sealink from Stranraer, Scotland or P&O line from Cairnryan, Scotland) Follow the A8 to it's junction with the M2, turn South towards Belfast and pick up the M 1 through Dundalk (Dublin Road). At the Dunleer /Collon exit take R169 to connect with N2. Turn left through Collon into Slane. In Slane turn right onto N51 to Navan. In Navan pick up the N3 route (Dublin Road). We are 4 miles from Navan on the right hand side. See Map Below

From Belfast Harbour: (Norse Irish Ferries from Liverpool, England) Link up with the M 1/A to Newry and follow directions as above.
